"Managing the Risks of No Pets, Pets & Assistance Animals"

Course Description:

This course will review managing property manager-related risks of renters with no pets, pets and assistance animals. The course will review statistical data related to pet and animal ownership in the US, discussing best practices, managing the risk of pets and their owners, measuring the risk and ensuring revenues cover the associated risk, learning the differences between ADA and FHAct, service vs assistance animals, accommodation review process, and more.

Course Expectations:

Class attendees will learn how to better manage and mitigate their risks with renters of no pets, pets and assistance animals. Attendees will learn best practices about dealing with pets and their owners as well as know the difference between a service and assistance animal. Attendees will learn proper review procedures and process for reviewing accommodation requests for assistance animals.
